Gwent Mental Health Consortium

The Gwent Mental Health Consortium exists to provide a wide range of services across Gwent for individuals, families and carers with, or at risk of developing mental ill health. We also act as a single point of access for the health board, GP's and local authorities.

Our Members

The lead provider of the Consortium is Growing Space, along with the following members:

Inside out Cymru

Inside Out Cymru is an Arts and Mental Health charity delivering arts workshops and activities across Gwent.

Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent Mind

Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent Mind provide a number of services such as a Drop-In, Counselling, Floating Support, Supported Housing, Volunteering Opportunities and Training.

Caerphilly Borough Mind

Caerphilly Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.



Hafal (meaning ‘equal’) is the principal organisation in Wales working with individuals
recovering from serious mental illness and their families.

Newport Mind

Newport Mind are a registered charity who believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. We're here for you. Today. Now.

Mind Monmouthsire

Monmouthshire Mind are working their way to better mental health and won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect.


Growing Space

Growing space are the lead charity for the consortium who were founded in
1992 and provide real work skills, and a support network for adults with mental ill health. Growing Space encourage and motivate people through training and opportunities to achieve qualifications in Horticulture, Woodwork, ITC, Craft and other various programmes.
